iPod Jailbreak IOS 4.1 with Snowbreeze 2.0.2

You can now jailbreak 4.1 using Snowbreeze v2.0.2, download here. you can get your matching firmware IPSW file from here. Just run Snowbreeze,follow the instructions and it will create a custom patched IPSW file and should say on your ipod that it's ready to recieve custom firmware. You then start Itunes, must be v10 or later and it will detect your ipod in restore mode, hold shift down and press restore then it will ask you to browse to where snowbreeze has created your custom IPSW file. Select it and ITunes will do the rest.

When you download the origional firmware it will save as a rar or zip file, just change the extension type to ipsw instead and save it.

No m8 as far as I know there isn't an exploit for the iphone 4 yet.

Hi

I got Ipod touch 4g and followed this instruction but used snowbreeze 2.1.
Also downloaded matching 4.1 firmware.

When restoring the ipsw created by snowbreeze in itunes, I get error 3194.

What am i doing wrong pls? also what is the custom firmware for if I'm supposed to use the ipsw created by snowbreeze?

guess its not possible. Been able to at least get it out of recovery mode :) I'll do some more reading.

hi mate just out of interest have you downloaded the correct ipsw for your device ipod touch 4g

Hi mate that was what was confusing me since instruction says download ipsw but then snow breeze creates one and says use that one.

Btw don't u need to jb your phone first before u can use a cydia app as per your link?

Thanks for the help it's not even mine doing it for my sister in law :( after she saw my jb iPhone
