According to a latest tweet by a member of iPhone Dev Team, it looks like an all device jailbreak like Spirit and Blackra1n is ready, incl. for devices like iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS (new bootrom), iPod touch 2G (MC models) and iPod touch 3G. This is going to be yet another userland jailbreak which we talked about earlier and is coming from none other than comex – the developer behind Spirit jailbreak tool for iPhone 3GS / 3G, iPad and iPod touch.

Now of course the big question is when to expect the release? Since iOS 4.0.1 / 4.1 release is just around the corner, it will be a waste to release this jailbreak now for iOS 4 as it is almost certainly going to be patched by Apple in the next firmware update. So what I believe is that this jailbreak will be released once Apple rolls out the new iOS 4.0.1 / 4.1 firmware update, which according to the PR release is scheduled in the next few weeks. This all device jailbreak will follow as soon as the firmware update has been released for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G.
