I'm not sure if this has been covered before, if not i hope it will be helpfull. I found that my picture had frozen, i reset the box and couldnt get anything other than a flashing GP picture.
Findings:
I found that the sockets for the incomming signal (i assume to be the receiver) were both wobbling, i opened the box with the permission of the supplier of the box as its only a month old and found that unlike my older box the "receiver" in the new box was on pluged in to the PCB rather than soldered in, the box had never mis treated, i found that the strain of the incoming signal cable pulling down almost at the point of connection had lifted the receiver from its connection on the PCB, i had to slightly pull the back of the box out to remove the receiver and plug it back, the box is now fine.

Seems like a quite common problem with Tuners 'un-seating' themselves.

Some channels were playing silly beggers with me last night, channel would start with a 0 BER but after 5 mins of watching the BER would go mad and I kept getting the 'service could not be found' message.

Gonna go iniside mine too tonight :D 500-C that is! :p
