is YLOD same as flashing red light

I have aquired a dead PS3 - got it from a guy at work for ten quid - it flashes the red light - replaced hard drive still same problem

anyway is this the same as a YLOD ? or a different issue

I think YLOD is, RED LIGHT, Flashing Yellow, Flashing RED.

You could try replacing the PSU?

ylod is it turns on, then turns yellow then flashes red until u turn it off...

if its that it will require a gpu reflow
