hey all

got the n95 today (the original silver yin)

and it was an ex-contract my cousin (roro786) got his upgrade so i bought his other one

so i takes it into a shop and the fella says i can unlock it but it may not work because its just off a contract

it was contracted to orange and i wanna use it on o2

is that true?

btw its £20 for unlocking it

i dont care bout the price just wanna use my new fone and old sim :)

In a house with lots of alcohol on the go!!
If its the likes of Orange or Vodafone then chances are it will need unlocking Gav.

It's only independant contract phones that don't come with any crap on them that are really sim free.

Thats why I always used the carphone warehouse, you got a phone that wasn't tied to a network and could use any sim in it and it had Nokia firmware on it, not orange, vodafone or T-Mobile firmware.

If your cousin has paid the contract then there will be no problems with it at all.
We get a lot of contract phones brought to us where there is an outstanding payment to be made. If this payment doesn't get made, then the phone is barred after a month or two this then makes it useless in this country....Think this is what the guy was trying to explain

A mirror is shinnier than a PS3...

Is shinnier even a word?
