virgin do not sell their hardware and will not activate a box that they have not installed.

so its useless whatever way you look at it..

With cables? Lol what if your not in a cable area. That's one long cable . The guy who is selling this is stupid and who ever buys it isn't that bright either.

might be worth 40quid for the drive..

It says 1tb on the ad. You can get 500gb ones. The thing is they probably don't have error correction on them( I think that's the term) so probably not a good idea for data that you care about.
