I'm looking into getting a Technomate, possibly this:
hXXp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Technomate-5400-CI-USB-80cm-Astra-Hotbird-Dish_W0QQitemZ170199276417QQihZ007QQcategoryZ96970QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247

How does the 5400 switch between LNBs?

Which channels do most people open (and how english language is available)?
How easy is patching and once patched what's involved?

I had a PC satcard a few years ago, so I'm not a total newbie just some clarrification is required.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

the offer looks good but going motorised is a better option in the long run.

on my set up technomate 5400 with 1 meter motorised sat dish i can watch(with patch) premiere, tps, polsat, digitv, showtime/art(certain times of the day) and a few otherslesser known packages.
english audio tracks are available on most of the mentioned.

patching is easy. with the 5400 u can patch the box in under a minute using a usb memory stick.
