Can't comment on TW, but on NTL i'd avoid the early 4001n and even the 4001nc and go for the 4010 or the sammy 2100c, the 4010 being probably the easist of all boxes to mod ......

The only reason I say the 4001's is purely down to age and life expectancy due to the amount of heat they kick out ..... I've seen quite a few with tune problems or burnt out boards ......

avoid samsung,4001 at all cost and 2000 unless u have origonal card and moded t911 that doesent leave you with a lot best to stick with your area to avoid buying programmer and rework station 4010 and 4000t can be jtagged but a scart to serial is needed for net id the best easiest is a 1000t most bk are stored in the database aqnd you only need a serial cable to set the net id
there is always scientific atalanta dvb4000 that just needs an 8 pin chip read 1 for net id and 1 for bk and ird then the 4200 needs a 56 pin intell chip readin very advanced acordin to how far youwant to go mate you choose
