I have a iptv sub and am getting the new VM Hub3 delivered next week.
Does the new Hub give you a new IP address ? Will this affect my iptv sub ?

It probably will change your IP address but as far as I know that isn't used for subscribed IPTV as not everyone has static IP addresses.

Its can be the mac address of what ever is connecting to the server.

But most of the time its just dependent on the login details 2 logins with the same details would get you kicked off.

Ok thanks for reply.
I’ve got it on my smart tv so was hoping it just connect with the MAC address Of the tv.

Your provider woud see your external details of your network so this would be your router details mate.
As mentioned though, it works via authentication from username and password details.

Thanks for the info .

So I should be ok to go ahead with the new hub 3 then ?

I had the hub2 and swapped to 3 without any problems. Use my own router now and have the VM router in modem mode.

How come you use your own router and not hub 3 as router ?

If you are not happy with Wi-Fi signals from VM Super Hub, you can change super hub into modem mode and connect your prefered wireless router

Think VM can see more on your network than they let on and I also got my own router so I could setup VPN directly on it.

it will work fine it uses your tv mac id all will be fine
