Musclenerd, respected member of iPhone Dev team just tweeted about unlock for iPhone OS 3.1.3 baseband 5.12.01 and OS 4.0 baseband 5.13.XX According to MN “ People still ask, but sure, with both 4.0 & iPhoneHD coming out this month, so too will the 3.1.3/4.0 carrier unlocks. ” A few hours ago posixninja also tweeted that he and Geohot found a bootrom exploit, so we can expect an untethered jailbreak for all iDevice family.
*************************** I would advise all members once the new OS 4 comes out dont rush to download!!! Reason being for sure it will have problems maybe even intensionally and be updated quickly so they will fix the exploit and you will have updated your bootrom so could be all sorts of problems . Expensive ipod time again!!!!
I for one will wait a custom firmware so can stay on present bootrom and edge on the side of caution !!! FOR SURE SINFUL WILL MAKE ONE!!!
