iPhone Iphone 3g Update?

Got an iphone 3g and am on 3.1.2, whenever i try to update apps i am not allowed mainly due to the ios4. if i update through installous the app would just not work? (the ios4 apps), i wanted to ask if it is worthwhile for me to update to ios4.

What are the pros and cons? can i revert back if i wanted to?

If your SHSH files are saved on cydia, then you can revert back at any time.

how do i do that (SHSH the files)? and if i upgrade how do i do it, will my apps, photos, files all be deleted? the main question is, is it really worth it? (pros and cons of updating)

hi mate backup all your files in your itunes, if not already done so , sshing to ur iphone can be tricky if not done before but follow this guide will help
