insurance approved car alarm

cam anyone recomend a decent car alarm,seen some on fleabay
but been told to stay away from cheep ones,what im lookin for summat thats insurance approved,dunno about the imo cos ive
all ready got an imo as standard on car,do it need to be installed
by a professional,or can i do it

been checkin these out aswell Hawk Hawk Car Alarm has anyone has any experiance with these
the car in question is a fiat punto 2001 reg

thatcham are the biggest know insurer approved alarm m8 and some you can fit your self

tacham (i.e. insurence approved ones) need to be installed by a tacham approved professional - i.e. if you install it your self it will be requared as good as any other alarm by insruence compnies

yes thacham got one of these on my car real good alarm and did bring the insurance down.....

and yes i would have thought the hawk one would be o.k m8 its thatcham approved so should be fine
