Anyone ever had problems installing the flash player on IE? Its a right pain and amazing how many sites make use of it. You dont realise until you not got it.

Works fine in Firefox.

It keeps saying failed to install.

I have done all the suggested things, like allowed active x and javascript, even to the point of making security on ie non existent! I have uninstalled existing player, etc. all the suggested stuff on the adobe website.

I use IE mainly so its a right annoyance at the moment.

if you use firefox get addon IE tab and then you can swithc to ie from fire fox by right click and drop down menu also flashblok is good if you dont want to see the flash file play as it gives you a play button

Are you using the 64bit version explorer?
As I'm running XP 64 and cannot get flash to work on 64 IE. But if I open 32bit IE it works fine. Works fine in firefox to but thats 32bit.
