Infra Red

Hi.

Bought 2 sagem boxes of fleebay of a buyer that I've dealt with before but the infra red pick up on the 2 boxes are terrible....It will respond but is very slow when it bothers to respond at all..all buttons on the board work fine..I dont wanna send em back if it just a case of changing the infra red diodes on the little board....has anyone had this problem and changed the or is it a case of sending them back!!

Check the settings in the misc settings menue.

Tried adjusting the repeat and delay rates.....still the bloody same!!

Will change the infra red pick up if you can get em from maplins...will go tomorrow to see!!

does anyone have a part number for these!!

Set repeat and delay to 0 and try again.
I think a dead diode will do nothing.

Tried setting both to zero...still the same....

Someone else must have had the same problem and had a solution...even if the boxes are broken!!

Maybe the batteries in the remote are near empty.

You could try replacing the diode but the one you've got now is probably fine if its working 'sometimes'. If it was dodgey it just wouldnt work at all. Maplins stock code for infrared bits (off top of head) is YY66W.

It could be a dodgey connection or a component of part of the infrared module is not working properly.
