Astra G Diesel CDTI 53 Plate.
I noticed my engine temp rise yesterday and I pulled over and found the reservoir almost empty. I topped it up with some water I keep in the boot and drove home.
Earlier today I noticed the temp increase again so I pulled over and checked the water level again, it was almost empty. :err:
I filled the reservoir at a local garage and drove home, the drive home was only about 10 minutes driving. I opened the bonnet and noticed that my water tank was only half full.
I filled it once more and left the engine running as I checked for leaks.
The radiator doesn't appear to have any faults as I see no leaks, drips, damp patches etc. I also checked (as best I could) all the hoses and none of them appear to have any breaks and again none of those had damp patches etc.
I looked under the car and there was no water, no drips, nowt.
I checked the oil incase something nasty had happened inside the engine but the oil was clean with no signs of water contamination.
I've left my engine ticking over for 20 minutes and no water dripped from the car. I checked the engine tray incase that was holding the water, but it was dry as a bone.
Where can my water be going?
