the 500mb download, does that allowance allow you loads of browsing? email, facebook, dw, bebo and poker playing etc.

For basic browsing yes, if you include media downloads its so and so.

1 song = 5mb
1 minute of low res vid from youtube = 2mb a minute so a 5 minute clip = 10mb

500mb is tons really.
You can grab an app from the Android market which will tell you how much bandwidth you have xferred.

im on the same deal m8, mines ends in a month hence why im looking just now. hopefully i get one before they do away with the unlimited internet.
