i am using nemesis at the minute, but i can't get channel 4, and there is a couple other channels the mrs says are missing.

what image is best to use, and it has been that long since i changed my image, can someone give me a kick up the ass and run me a quick tut again.

i thought i had one on my pc, but i can't find it.

i used to have nabilo and that was ok as far as i can remember.

p.s. i have saved my newcamd.list file so i am ok there LOL

throw the PLi image on it m8

from memory (so might not be exact, in fact, ignore the following unless you really want to break it lol)

download the image file
FTP it to temp folder
rename it to CRAMFS (in the system menu go to manual update, and itll tell you the exact folder to use and what to name it)
once youve done that, select it in the manua update bit of the dreambox menu
wait for it to finish
download captain picards channel list
delete ALL the bouqets except the skyones
add channel 12005 for big brother
give kids the remote
go back to computer

:proud:
lol

look in recycle bin for the original
download it again

download it again
unzip it
ftp to temp folder
go to manual install and realise you forgot to rename it
go back to computer
rename it
go to manual install
nothings there
go back to computer
realise the wrong files been renamed
rename it back to what you think it was
rename the image file
go to manual install
nothings there
turn the power off (that always fixes it)
spend 2 days looking for RS232 null modem lead
download dreamup
unzip image
swear a bit
swear some more
blame digi
flash image with dreamup
pat yourself on the back
open a beer
connect back up to telly
look blankly at the black screen
remember you forgot to backup newcamd.list
swear a lot
blame digi
blame jimmyp for uploading another new CAM
blame digi again
swear some more
open a beer
go to computer
start typing a thread/PM titled 'fookin black and silver bastad'

PLi images are here m8 http://www.pli-images.org/news.php

itll hold a limited sly EPG on a 500 (due to lack of memory space) or a nearly full EPG if you can manage to mount a hard drive on the network for recording etc (ive never managed to)

i knew youd like it pmsl

once you install the image

blue button
software management
downloads
channel settings

theres a few different ones to choose from, i used picard as it was at the top, but youll probably have to delete most of the satellites / boquets in the edit menu (press ok to get chan list, then blue for boquets, then menu to start editing and deleting)

one of the members did a post about getting a limited EPG on a 500 using the internal memory in the dreambox room m8
