Humax FoxHD sat box updates can they be stopped!!!

When by chance I wanted to record a late night programme, I notice upon reviewing it the following day that an update window had popped up on the screen about 03:00hrs.

This was quite irritating but for the life of me I can't see anyway to turn the auto updates off/disable the update window popping up.

I know how you feel. I've never owned/sold one, but I've installed a few and if you allow it to do its update it takes an eternity- and all I want to do is get the thing going & off to the next job. So sorry, I don't know if or how to stop them, but will be very interested to hear. And also to know if these updates actually improve anything?
