This summary "tutorial" to explain how to fix a DM800 not booting with the code "ERROR01 : NO CA FOUND" on the screen.

    Cause of the error:
    - bad flash
    - official image flashed

    -> ERR01 : NO CA FOUND

    What doesn't work anymore:
    - no boot
    - no network connection
    - no possible image upgrade
    - DreamUp unable to upgrade even with serial cable

    Solution:
    1) Use DreamUp 1.3.3 with serial (null modem) cable
    2) Choose COM1, connect, power ON DM800 and wait
    3) After a few seconds the DM800 screen will come back with an IP address
    4) Type in that address in IE
    5) Flash first a BootLoader (ex: 72R1)
    6) reboot DM800 and hold power button
    7) Wait for IP to appear on DM800 screen
8)Type in that address in IE
    9) Flash your desired image

Check the COM port you are using...

    If still not possible.
    - remove power
    - press power button
    - put power back
    - wait for the screen to show a DHCP given IP address
    - try to flash via Network on that address

Try again. It is the only way to get through it.

    - Remove power plug
    - Wait 30 sec
    - Put power back and immediately hold the power on button

Im having a issue also on my DM800 clone. I tried to flash using the network, but after flashing it try to reboot & after that wont boot.

I have hold down the power button & back on, still same error coming in the front display. no dhcp ip address shows on the front display.

Do i need to flash using the null-modem cable? if so where can i find only the boot loader 1st as you said.

I tried to install Gemini 4.6 , and also how can i find the image is suitable for clone box?

I got to know original box images not support for clone boxes.

    pls help.

    Hi everyone

I have this problem over 2days now. I purchased a DB 800 HD PVR and i tried to install a image and after it rebooted it gave ERROR01 : NO CA FOUND.

I have tried to connect with Ethernet and RS232 cable with DREAMUP + second stage dreamup however it still did not connect.
When i use enforce dreamup it gives File to big error message even though file is only 168KB

Is there anyone who has the same problem and found a solution?

    Thank you

Had the same problem this weekend but mine is an original DM800 HD not sure if it will work on a clone, with mine it was the BL. I just needed to update the BL from an older to a newer version.
Check out the threads and you will find it.

    Worzel.

what image did you have b4 you tried the new image which gave you the no ca error . when dream up is connected you could just point to your image and flash with dream up (takes longer this way)
5 virtually means flash correct bootloader to box the use browser to flash the image this is quicker few questions what sim what image have you got hth

i tryed the nabilo v11, same problem.

run dreamup , connect DM800 with cable
under dreamop select network and in the remote ip (box) put the ip you want for your box
now switch on the dreambox, dreamup will prepared the box for flash
    when ready for flash
take the remote ip (box) then follow the procedure through the web now
    192,168.xxxx.xxx
will get to the upgrade firmware page the try the image you want

Wel i had the same but what i did was imediatly after this flash again with the ss76-to-ss76a_beta-20100713 image. Then reboot manualy and
it came back to life. after that I flashed the openpli for sim 201. if you want the link send me a pm. and check if you have the sim 201 first.

    good luck.
