how much extra for business insurance?

Hi fellas. iv just started a new job and i need business insurance for my car, my currnet polcy is third party only and its £900(only had license a year), they have said its going to cost me an extra £300 for business insurance and i think its a bit of a rip off, im only about 3 months into the policy, so changing companies is a last resort, what are ur opinions on this and does anyone have any advice on how to knock them down a bit?

do you have a Ford ?

they give very good business mileage insurance via Royal & Sun Alliance, i have my car through them. tried Royal & Sun Alliance direct and it was nearly double what Ford quoted.

i think they will insure other makes but the savings aren't as good.

What sort of business ?

My mrs was working in a community support role and didn't cost any extra to allow her to use the car for work to get around.
