how easy/hard are atmegas to program

i think maybe i should have asked this first but ive just ordered 5 atmega 163 cards cos ive seen they au ,but ive only done funcard 4s before (o and a rom 10
orig sc) but i just wanna know how are they to program compared to fc cos there seems to be a damn site more to them opinions please chaps

Imho they are just as easy to do as a fun,as long as you have all of the right programs to do it with you shouldnt have any hassles,you will need Toxic7 as well as the relevent flash files for your area,all of which are in the downloads along with some very good tutorials also see attached file.

thanks for the files-but from what that tut says i only need to put the bin file on the card yet you say i need the flashes for my area how many files do i put on my card

you'll need the toxic generator files to make your own bin file . open it chose ntl/cw etc put in your bk-ird and save as a bin file . this goes in hte exteep . the ntl7b or your area file goes in the flash .hope this helps .
