How do you know when your getting dossed?

I gave a guy my i.p address because he acted as if he knew it all, i knew i could change my i.p anyway so gave him it.

This was yesterday.

Today my connection was very very slow, so a mac and i.p change doen the trick to speed it up.

When i changed the mac i got disconnected after about 10 minutes, but i still had the same i.p.

Changed my Nic mac and now everything is fine, does it sound like i was getting dossed?

You mean DOS (denial of service) or DDOS (distributed denial of service)?

Your IP address is not hard to find out btw. but why would this know-it-all guy need it?

Should be in PC problems.
