ok guys i would like a easy way to run from home

vBulletin,
ftp server,
irc server,
IRC bot,

i know for vBulletin i need php,sql,etc

for the irc bot i am going to need a shell

so what the best OS to use and what a easy way to set this lot up

would be nice to have one big install that would install this lot and set it all up for me or is that asking for to much

I don't know much about this, but ubuntu server edition has a LAMP (linux apache mysql php) setup that is ready from installation. As for the other stuff you'll have to put that on yourself, though that's not so difficult.

thk you all for the replys ,TheWakeUpCall that might just do the job ,,will download it at the weekend and have a look and see

as for difficult i am good at installing and editting thing on servers but this is going to be my 1st server that i am trying to setup so me thinks lots of late nights and lots of reading b4 i get this working with all the thing i need on it
