some tips on setting etc to avoid screen burn retention etc

Dead Pixel Check

The first thing to check is that there are not any dead pixels on the screen. This is best accomplished by:

Menu - Function - Screen Wipe

This will blanket the screen in white making any dead pixels easy to spot

Picture Settings - First 200 Hours

Firstly, I have turned on the following anti-screen burn countermeasures:

Menu - Function - Screen Save (I have set this to pixel shift every 5 mins)
Menu - Function - Luminance Manager (on - cuts down the contrast in the corner of the panels i.e. where station logos reside)
Menu - Function - ECO Mode - Off

Picture Mode = Natural
Contrast = +1
Brightness = +3
Color = -5
Sharpness = 0
Tint = 0
Color Temperature = Normal
Contrast Mode = Normal
YNR = Off
CNR = Off
Film Mode = Off

Connection Details

Ensure that freeview/NTL/sky boxes are all set to output RGB.
If you intend to use scart for DVD, again set to RGB.
RGB signals are only accepted on AV2 and AV3. NOT AV1

Not my settings as stated above but taken from AV Forums
