I went round a m8's for a few scoops over the Bank Holiday weekend and he had one of these ;-

Hisense LTDN55K220WSEU 55" Smart TV - Black

tbh I was blown away for the price as he used quidco and a code to get £50 off as well bringing it down to under £300.
So last night I'm looking and I saw this;-

Hisense UB55EC591UWTSEU 55" Smart 4K Ultra HD TV - Grey

with codes and stuff you can get it for nr the £580 mark. Full 2 year warranty parts labour ?.
just wondering has anyone seen one working and their thoughts ? there are hardly any reviews on that particular tv

Apparently Hisense is a Chinese brand, part owned by the Chinese government.

A bit of Googling finds that most of the reviews are from the USA, and tbh they're not particularly good reviews.

Yeah my m8's Hisense tv wasn't brilliant on the smart apps but this one has youtube and netflix that would be well enough for me. I run a hdmi from my PC to tv on my present Panasonic TV. The PC is directly behind the living room wall were the tv sits so it's handy for that.

The live football was excellent, no lag motion blur and the sound was pretty tidy. I would be hoping a 4k Ultra 400hz would be even picture quality wise.

Well Im 50/50 , the price is a very attractive price if I do take the plunge I will pas on my thoughts here for others bare in mind I'm no tech expert I'm more of a Roy Walker Cathphrase type er guy, say what you see !

65" wont fit in mine, too big. I've had a 50" Panasonic and the majority of 55's are actually smaller in size due to the speakers on the front of the viera tv so I thought I'd go to a max of 55".
Well I've took the plunge and ordered a 55" Hisense , if I get the quidco and SUPER50 code it will come to £580 with 2 years full warranty.
TV will be here tomorrow

Got the TV today and some of those reviews are aload of w*nk obviously done by competitors, the TV is a cracker. Picture pin sharp and very adjustable, the sound is excellent and has a graphics bar to alter it. Works wired or wireless with the Smart TV. There's not lots to go at but I'm more bothered about the picture quality. Netflix and Youtube are fine for me

4 HDMI ports, USB 2.0, scart and phono in's plus optical audio out which can go to my surround sound amp, something my Panasonic couldn't do. All in all the TV is a bargain for £580. Plus the added bonus of 2 years parts and labour. For a 4k TV 55" I can't see it been beat for price.

I'm well happy with it.

The TV has a browser ? Play youtube via TV browser :)
This 4k's all new to me. I wasn't sure it was capable of streaming back from youtube. Anyway I gave it a go and wow! very nice indeed. Now all I need is a Netflix account to see what it's like for a movie

Theres better but for bigger bucks. I paid £580 with at the time SUPER50 £50 off and 10% quidco. I personally think its bang on.
the smart only has a handful of apps that I'd use but im more bothered with the quality not whether netflix and a browser which I'll never use

Yeah made up, the apps are abit thin on the ground but overall its very good. Has buttons on the remote for youtube and netflix which js all I use to be honest.
also optical audio out for my surround amp, usbs 4hdmi and the built in sounds excellent. You have to spend some time tweaking it but im well pleased.
picture is bang on and the 4k quality is v.g. you will get better tvs but for £599 with 2 years warranty ? I doubt it
