just done 1 for my bruver , and put ...

cmreg-ntlhm120-bund03.cm

in file name (hack page)

it says ...Maximum Download Speed........10240000 bps

done a speed test and get....2621kbps

not 10 meg !!!

is a sb 3100i capable of 10meg ?

hi m8 dont think u'll get 10mb from it but u shuold get 7 to 8mb it could be ther was lots of users in ur area @ the time try changing the config file to
cmreg-mota4100-bund03.cm and see that make any difference

i read somewhere that they are only capable of about 2meg however according to ur speed test ur managing over 20meg

They are capible of the same HFC speed as the other Surfboards. Where they fall short is that they only have a 10baseT ethernet connection, so around 6-7 meg is the max download you'll get, as with all cable modems, if you saturate the upload it will severely affect the download. Also remember it's best to do speedtests at off-peak times.

changed config still only gettin 3 megs suppose ill just have to stay with that by looks of things thanx guys
