guys i'm on N8L and a 1meg connection with a 250 modem....

can this be tweaked

Not with a 250 m8 im afraid you could try an N*L ambit 100, 120, 200 or Motorola Surfboard SB3100, SB4100, SB4200 or SB5100 all are a piece of p*ss except for the SB5100
