i have a ntl 200 modem with 3mb clone mac pluged in by lan
but keeps on going of evey 5min i have to reset the modem
2 go back online.

can some one help me in fixing this

This could be down to more than 1 thing m8, maybe Ur using a Mac from the same gateway? Or your signal strength coming in is to low. Try a different MAC first.

its not from the same gateway and i have tryed a new mac still the same
my mate told me to use the usb

This could be down to a number of things, say hello first to introduce yourself in the right part of the site, its called respect m8, asking for macs on your first post is not the way its done in here!!!!!

did you get your mac from the same place, you need a mac say 5 to 6 miles away,this all points to a mac on the same net work or signal stengh

this is what i have just said m8
Id say 5 or 6 at the most, i use ones from 2 or 3 and they are fine never no probs, you can use them even 1 mile away as long as its a differnt UBR gateway.:BLOBBY:
