After some help if possible

I have an Asus F407U laptop with Windows 10 installed on it, but, i want to use ubuntu. I need to keep windows 10 on it for the ability to update work equipment etc, anyway......

downloaded ubuntu, and something to create a bootable usb from the iso (i think it was called rufus), followed an online tutorial, about disabling secure boot etc, making another partition, and installing ubuntu, which all went as it should, but, it simply wont give the option to choose an OS

Followed a few more tutorials, started again a few times, but dont seem to be getting anywhere

was wondering if anyone could help

Not sure Win 10 likes the duel boot option easy enough on Win 7 in the past

I haven't dual booted Windows and Linux since XP but as Chookey said, a Virtual Machine is probably the way to go.

The issues might be if Linux needs direct access to the hardware, and that's not always possible with a VM.
