Hi, I need some help in moving my files from desktop pc (windows xp) to new laptop (windows 7). I googled it and it seems it can be done by usb but looks complicated, Can anyone help please?

Hi M8

Use the in-built files and settings transfer wizard from xp - programs - accessories - system tools - click on this icon - or access it from the windows help system - it will
guide you through all the stages of transfer - i've used it on numerous occasions
- it saves plenty time and hair loss!

You are best off creating a backup file on the local disk of the PC then use USB to copy file to the new laptop and restore from the file.
