Network Provider HELP PLEASE - Nokia 6300 - Powers on then back off ?

Hi

For some reason my Nokia 6300 powers on with welcome tone, nothing shows on the display although it is backlit and i can see very slight lcd lines as if damaged.
It then powers back off after about 5 seconds ?
The mobile was dropped, anyone got any idea what it could be ?
I have checked the connection between lcd and board it it looks ok ??
The battery is also fine.

Will a fauty screen cause it to power off ???

Possibly the LCD and I wouldn't rule it out that it's causing it to power off. I had an old SE that stopped poweing up completely after a couple of weeks with a broken LCD.

Will it usually power back up straight away after it's turned off?

best bet is to take it a few local phone shops and see what they say and then take it from there. Problem with screen shouldnt power the phone off. You said you dropped it, maybe its something else and needs opening up.

The screen does look fine when on fior the few secs and at first prompt.

Might just stick it on Ebay as faulty unless someone can reflash it for me.

is there a way to reset the phone ?
