Pretty urgent. Quick summary, heading off on holiday tonight and tried to load my psp with some games. The firmware is quite old, about 2 years and can't load fifa world cup. I presume the f/w needs updated, but I never done it in the first place, is it simple now someone has unlocked it for me.
Software is 3.80 m33-2
Error message is "game could not be started (80020148)"

I've downloaded 5.50 and I am having problems installing it. I can start the update, but when it gets to the loading modules part the psp shuts down and starts again no probs, but with the old firmware still loaded. I don't have a pandora battery, does that matter?
