Help moving from enigma to neutrino image

Someone has suggested i move from my unstable enigma based image to a (neutrino deam plus ultra in the downloads)

I have seen it mentioned that to do this i need to do image erase first.

Please could someone just do a step by step for a dreambox 500c.

Please explain what this line means so I can make an informed choice on which to use.

"you will need to flash the dmm 1.08 or 1.09 image with dreamup first (via serial)"
