help i have followed the guide

i have followed the pdf guide and have the image file in the tmp directory but when i go to flash without bootloader there is no file there

any help guys would be appreciated i have a sagem box with 2 chips

Im guessing that you've used DBOX Command Centre to transfer the image?
The software sometimes doesnt transfer the image on some systems. Even tho you receive the "successful" message, it didnt work.

Try the FTP method. Go to Internet explorer and type this:
http://root:[email protected]/tmp

(replace 192.168.0.24 with the IP address of your own dbox)

Then transfer your image file into the folder that appears.
If a folder doesnt appear then your network connection settings are wrong.

funny though coz when i looked the image was on the box in the tmp dir

my only other question is the ifa

if it says pinging failed does that mean its not working

i don't have a null modem cable but i leave it and nothing happens

i am told i have a 2 chip sagam box

IFA will always say "pinging failed". If nothing happens on the box after about 10 seconds then IFA did not kick in - something is blocking the connection.
(either a firewall, antivirus, worm blocker, popup stopper, etc)

the person who i got the box off wrote 2 chip on the top iis there an easy way to check

i have shut down all firewalls etc but ifa is no good

with the dbox command centre it puts the image.img file in the tmp directory

but when i plug it into the tv and follow the guide the file isn't there to use and when i check the box the file isn't in the tmp directory anymore

would it be worth trying a 1x image

Dont unplug your box from the power as the image will be deleted out of the tmp folder when you plug it back in.
get a tv by your pc.

i am having similar problems too! tearing my hair out!!! Only difference is that I can't connect using the FTP method, on FlashFXP it says 'no route to host'? and if i use windows ftp , its says unable to access the ftp folder, what am i doing wrong??????

Is it a nokia or sagem
you can look through the grill and see the chips use a torch.
