Help Backing up settings???

I have downloaded the newest patch Spiderbox_HD_7000_0827_K.

But it says backup settings before doing anything.

What settings do I need to backup and how do I do it, in USB I can only see channel list and software??

Surely if I update s/w with new patch I dont need software do I???

Help required please guys as I dont wanne F*ck up the box, especially as it says do factory reset after loading it.

i think back up your settings could be your channel list and make note of your usals settings long lat also if you use a diff server make note of cccam and newcamd details as they could be erased same as mac number and gift key number just in case .
channel list can be saved on usb all the other details just write down .
i know when i ist got spider i made note of mac number and gift key and emailed it to myself and saved as i always loose important bits of paper

Just note down usals settings if using usals.
1,Back up channel data udb only[menu/usb green button].
2,Load todays patch S/W only.
3,Factory reset.
4,Menu network turn back on ,press 1111 to expand other options.
5,Load your channel data back on enter your long/latitude if needed.
6,Goto key edit turn ucas back on.
7,Reset key data.
8,Load latest softcam.

cheers guys... as I use diseqc 1.2 will it be different???

Will I have to add all the sats again???

When I did that first time it knocked all my sats off and I had to reset them with dreambox?

Everything should stay the same.

I Have 1.2 as well...

I just followed your instructions to the letter.

At the end I had to reaglign every satelite, it had lost all their positions.
