HDMI over Cat5/6 - max distance?

Guys,

Would be good to get your views on HDMI over cat5/6, not bothered about the cost, just they have to do a massive distance, 100 yards? maybe even a bit more......or they limited to 50 meters?

Depends which balun you are using. Cat-6 shielded with a GOOD HDBT balun will get you way further than that.

Granted its an old thread but at least the content is helpful and relevant if someone is searching a similar problem Ie google search would pull this thread up ;)

Lol we cant win can we . We ask newbies to post sensible helpful posts in an area of their knowledge and when they do they still get it in the neck. Nowhere in the rules does it say they should not post in old threads (yet) . :)
