Hay Fever!!!!

I saw this the other day looks very interesting for hayfever etc:

i have bought both of these last year and didn't really notice any difference other than the probes up your noise are red....lol but my hayfever is bad and anything is worth a try

i use telfast 180mg as the zirtek and citerezine dont work for me i have a nasal spray and eye drops too and my hayfever started on friday been taking the remedies daily since, yes the vaseline up your noise does work stops the pollen from getting into the nasal pores.

i have also in the past had the injections on a fortnightly basis in both arms one for pollen and one for dust, i get very irritable and moody at this time of year but Mr D says i am like this all the time. sometime i cannot sleep at night because of nasal congestion and i have to block one nostril with tissue for ease. i sometimes wear dark sunglasses and heard oakleys are the best so i got my mum to buy me 2 pair while on holiday.

hope there is a cure that comes out soon as mr d wont let me get rid of the sheep from the bedroom and the cow in the garden

Quite an interesting topic..

For the last 3-4 years ive had a constant blocked nose.. i cant stop sniffing. At night i put tissue up my nose so i dont wake the mrs up as apparently i sniff all night with the blocked nose..

Im not sure but i have this all year round i just thought because i work in the outdoors that it could be sudden climate change ie moving into a boiler heated property to a cooler outdoors..

Does anyone think could have hayfever..????

I also get sores in my nose and my nose is sore as hell.. but that only seems to be in the summertime..

I think you have a bad case of hay fever mate or are having an allergic reaction to something. If you have lots of hair follicles in you nose that could be causing the problem.

My mate has serious problems breathing from his nose, once he was congested for months and could only breath through his mouth. I would get your doc to send you to an ENT specialist who will offer you the best advice.

I wouldn't bother with getting your nasal area scraped as it doesn't seem to work for many people who have long suffered from this.

Do some breathing exercises. I have suffered badly from hay fever in the past. This book pretty much solved my breathing problems and congestion.

Read the book and if you get into it, he does classes in London.

Oh and try saline solution for a week. If it works you're in luck.

there is an injection from the doctors, its a steroid injection, makes hayfever go away for the full summer, i went to get it, seen the size of the bloody needle and chickened out, was about a foot long lol and it goes in erm, your backside :p

biggest needle i have ever seen, not scared of needles but this was ridiculous, apparently it has to go into the back muscle of your bottom lol

Me and the Missus don't suffer from it, but for the last few days or so we've wondered if our 3y/o nipper has started to show the signs...

His eyes are have become a bit red/swollen/itchy. He's fine in the morning, but as the day wears on he seems to show the symptons more and more. It seemed to start when we cut the grass at the end of last week/weekend.

Could this be hayfever do you think...?

We're going to take him to the Doc's if he's still like it tomorrow, but seeing this thread made me think it is...

Hayfever it is, get it checked just to be sure... you could try piriton syrup for him......

this year i have been bad, 26 years withouy hayfever laughing at my brother, i kinda deserve it lol

i have tried - Hayfever relief nasal spray, pollenase allergy eye drops, priteeze tablets, a few other well known hayfever tablets and my latest medication is these "new era" that desolve on your tongue, all short term, few hours max

I woke up today with my right eye puffed up, its making me close the eye making it full of water, looks like my misses punched me a good few times in the night, i take it this is part of hayfever as i have never had this happen before?

i think its time to see the doctors about this, i started suffering in 2005 after 26 years hayfever free. :(

Just to confirm, took the wee fella this morning, and the Doc seemed to agree, it seems very much like Hayfever, even though it is not very common in children his age...

He gave us a 'script for Clarytin(?) which seemed to help the lad this arvo'...

Ta for the the reply BTW Beany...

I looked at your avatar and Witchy's avatar and if thats what hayfever does to you I'm bloody glad i'm fever free
