I've not seen or heard of this problem before mate. Your best bet would be to phone M$ customer services and explain the situation. My bet would be that they will either replace the hard drive or both of the controllers. They probably wont even ask you to return whichever they replace whenever I send a 3rrod back I usually then take the pish and phone 'em up when I get the console returned and tell em that the controller wont sync to the console...gets me a free wireless controller every time and they've never once asked me to return the one that supposedly doesnt sync lol
