Anyone here eaten guinea fowl and if so what does it taste like, would you recommend trying it?

Is it the same as guinea pig? Cos I have eaten that. lol.

On a serious note, its a game bird, so would taste like Partridge or Phesant I would suggest Eva.

Thanks i googled it and most hits say it tastes a bit like chicken! Strange that, most types of bird and some fish seems to be described as like chicken

I have had it roasted, I found it hard a more 'meatier' flavour then chicken which was quite nice. Not gamey just stronger, I guess similiar to proper free range chicken.

Had it the other day straight out of mothers aga ;-)

As above it tasted like good quality free range chicken.

Yes it was a bit like chicken, but stronger flavour and a bit more fatty, sort of inbetween chicken and duck i would reckon
