The newest games have been written for 2.0 firmware , and as yet there is no know loader to run games on 2.0 .
Yes there is a piece of software to "trick" the firmware of your psp , but this will still not run 2.0 games .

Talk on the scene is that the game would have to be decompiled and the re-coded to run on 1.5 , so dont hold your breath for this to happen over night .

Also there are some dodgy stories going around that a "mod chip" is due to be released , but it sounds too good to be true .


@andyboyrfc , these is an option in the menu for system information , this will give you the firmware number , anything above 2.0 and you cant downgrade as yet .

Also note downgrading nulls your warranty straight away , so do it at your own risk , sony will in no way want to repair any "bricked" psp due to running 3 party applications .

i've downgraded 2 psp's with no problem..the only major diffeence is the "web surfing" on 2.0
