Rat, I'd have a look at Fuji m8
HERE, got two digi and one film myself. Been very pleased with them. I use a Finepix S5500 now, have a look [DLMURL="http://uk.geocities.com/

[email protected]/Photos/DSCF2679_web.jpg"]Pic_3[/DLMURL]at some results...If you want to see the 'full res' versions drop me a pm, I only take in RAW mode now, makes each pic about 11meg thou'!!! gulp. I looked at several models and felt the S5500 gave me best optical zoom (10x), good resolution 4megapixel ( 2272x1704) and lots of mode functions, from point & shoot to full manual, yes it will also do continuous shooting mode (in one mode it'll do upto 40 frames continously!). I can't fault the results, don't get too wrapped up in mega pixels thou', more is not always better, compared the S5500 to other high res' cameras but the Fuji won hands down, colour, light, detail, textures..Fuji make good ccd sensors and very good optics.
Also got an older Zoom6800 (6megapixel), thats very good too and an old D1000 point an shoot thats as good as many SLR's.
I bought the old digi from
UK Digital They've got the S5600 on offer at £239.
The new one came from
Kamera, they've got a bundle with the S5600 for £289
