glue residue removal

I have just removed a vinyl rap from my van ( no not a 12inch record ) it has left a very stubborn residue of glue from the back of the stickers, anyone know of a way to remove this easily??

i have tried petrol, it works but far too much elbow grease reqiured, same with white spirits and wd40, need something stronger that will disolve the glue quicker??????

Nail polish remover is ok or try surgical spirits.

Using something stronger will damage the paint mind.

tried white spirits and petrol, to no avail, even wd40, all work but very slow

eventually I tried cellulose thinners, works best but still a lot of effort needed... ah well I'l get there in the end..
