Genini 3.4 to something else

Hi guys,

Just a quick question,

Got Gemini 3.40 uk modded on my dreambox, i wanted to flash another image onto it (perhaps a nutrino 1) but ive read comewere i need 2 flash the original software via serial to the dreambox 1st because of varmax or somthing. can some1 explain what this is?

Is it possible to do this without a serial cable as i dont have 1 at the moment, just a x-over?

i would hold fire until u get a null modem cable before u try and flash
as it might go tits up and no box 2 use lol

Thanx for the advice, i probably would have messed it up aswell, will b gettin null modem 2moro then
