Funcard types - 4, 5, 6 and 7

I notice that there are Funcards 4/5/6/7 available. Whats the difference between them and would there be any advantage in using anything other than 4 to program a AU card?

Amount of memory available - but since AU fits on a fun4 (256k) there's no advantage in using one of the bigger ones.
