Is helpful thread, but what i do is get my apps in APK format here:

Add them to your “filelinked” account and sideload them that way.

Remember there isn't much internal memory on a firestick, if you plan on a lot of games you want to think about getting an otg cable and some extra storage.

I did have the retro arch on it one time and that worked fine on the 4k stick

Happy chick emulator is ment to work well with Firestick, it also d/l's the roms for you, but I would get extra storage if you start playing roms as they can take up a lot of room.
