A pal of mine is emigrating and he has a freesat tv that he wants to give me.
I cureently have sky.
If I leave sky can I use the sky satellite dish to watch the freesat channels?

Yes you can. Only issue that may affect you is the LNB. If you have a wideband LNB (used for Sky Q), you will need to swap it for a normal/hybrid one.

I do have a sky q box, any idea where I can get a hybrid LNB from?

If you are getting rid of the Sky Q box, a normal quad LNB will be cheaper.
If you are using both, get the hybrid one.
