This nifty site has free printable subway maps for cities all around the world (Europe, America, Australia, Africa, Asia & Middle East) including Barcelona, NYC, Sydney, Cairo and Hong Kong. Perfect for finding your way from the airport to your hotel without getting ripped off by expensive tourist taxis before you've found your feet in a new place.

How to get your map

To get your map, simply go to the Amadeus site, click on your chosen continent and then choose your the city you are visiting from the drop down menu. You'll then be taken to the page with the map on it and you can chose to either print a PDF version (you need Adobe Acrobat for this) or a Word version
