Fortec Star Lifetime Ultra Sat receiver

Hi,

I bought this sat receiver for 70 euro in maplin about 12 months ago but never bought the dish etc so it was sitting at home in the box for ages until I got a Dreambox 500T and I have this setup now.

I am thinking of setting up the sat receiver in another room but I'm not sure if I a terestrial image (think it has a Sat Gemini image loaded at the moment) will work on the box.

Any ideas?

The Fortec lifetime ultra isnt an open source linux receiver, like a dreambox, so your thread has been moved here. It's a free-to-air satellite receiver, although its possible there may be patched firmware? I think they may of had patch support a few years ago but i havent seen any for this model recent. Maybe someone here knows different?
In any case you wont be able to load gemini or any of the linux based images, terrestrial or satellite. There are lots of free channels on Astra2 @28degrees if that helps?
