Folder suddenly not showing when copied

If i cut a folder from one folder and paste it into another, it now doesn't show immediately. I have to come out of the folder and back in.

Only just started doing this, any ideas as its already becoming a nuisance as i have to keep checking its there?

Which OS?

Check your CPU and RAM usage and the amount of hard drive space available.

In the mean time does pressing [F5] refresh the folder? (Rather than you having to come out of the folder to go back in.)

do a windows error check on the drive

xp system, will check f5 refresh later.

I did change a video setting in bios, do you think it could be that?

Changed the setting back and it now works again. Could have been the reboot even but will leave as it is.
