flashing(not what you think)

ok this may sound stupid but when i am flashing the box(not anything else)do i need to be connected to www,and i take it that all my files for the said flash should either be opened or in a place where i can locate them yes/no : whip :

Which method are you using??

DBOX Command Centre? Flashing Assistant? FTP?

thanks KhuramG at this moment i am not using anything as iam a newbie i want to ask before i even try anything. just getting everything around in my head. all is well at the moment but just in case as the say "measure twice cut once" i have read liams tut and if anything does go wrong i want to feel confident in doing this (with a little help i hope)
